Sami's Trial Helper

Sami's Trial Helper is an Elder Scrolls Online addon that monitors group and say chat for item links, automatically detects which of those items you haven't collected yet, and gives you a one-click button to request them from the player who posted them.

What it does

When a group member posts item links in chat, the addon:

  1. Scans each link to check whether it belongs to a set collection and whether you have already unlocked that piece.
  2. For every uncollected piece it finds, it creates a player button in a draggable HUD window.
  3. Clicking the button drafts a chat message (group or whisper) listing the items you need. If the list would exceed ESO's 350-character message limit, it is automatically split into sequential messages that are queued and sent one at a time as you confirm each one.
  4. Pressing the X on a button dismisses it without sending any message.

Quick start

  1. Install the addon and its dependency (LibAddonMenu-2.0).
  2. Log in and open Settings → Addon Settings → Sami's Trial Helper to configure which channels to monitor.
  3. Join a group trial run. When someone links items in group chat, a button will appear on your screen.
  4. Click the button to draft your request message, then press Enter to send.
